
Our Founder
Trace Jahner is an SLP, CEO, and Founder of Therapy Builders.

Education
Trace received his Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from Minnesota State University.
He went on to work part-time as an intern with a school-based speech language pathologist (SLP) in the Bemidji School District in Bemidji, MN before beginning to work on his Master’s in Speech Language Pathology through Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, AZ.
He completed two clinical practicums through the Peoria Unified School District (PUSD), as well as a clinical externship in Surprise, AZ, graduating with his Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Career
Trace began working at PUSD in both the elementary school and high school settings providing speech-language therapy services for students aged 5-22 in the general education population as well as for students in the school’s self-contained program for students with significant impairments secondary to autism and intellectual disabilities.
During the summer months, Trace was a member of the Extended School Year program team, providing compensatory speech services for students at Canyon Elementary school. He currently services students at Parkridge Elementary and Liberty High School. During that time, Trace was also providing in-home speech-language therapy services for individuals aged 3-22 with a variety of disabilities including cognitive disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and autism with various private sectors working with the Division of Developmental Disabilities.
Specialized Experience
Trace has significant experience working in the field of speech-language therapy, servicing students with communication needs including: receptive/expressive language, articulation, fluency, social-pragmatic language, and AAC.
He has also worked in a number of specialized programs within the Peoria Unified School District including the Adult Training Center, Positive Behavior Supports program, the Kindergarten Extended School Year program, and the ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) program for those with intellectual and multiple disabilities.
Trace started Therapy Builders, LLC in 2017, and looks forward to providing in-home therapy services to members in the valley and expanding to Tucson as well.
